Scripture Readings:
Isaiah 65:17–25 | Psalm 118:14–24 | Acts 10:34–43 | John 20:1–18
Reflection:
Today is Easter Sunday — the day everything changed forever. The tomb is empty. Christ is risen. And because of His finished work on the cross, we now live with hope that is real, powerful, and life-transforming.
1. A New Beginning (Isaiah 65:17–25)
God promises to create new heavens and a new earth — a place of peace, joy, and wholeness. This is not just about the future; it starts now in the hearts of all who believe in the risen Christ. In our broken world, Easter reminds us that God is making all things new, including you and me. Your past mistakes don’t define you anymore. Christ’s resurrection means your story can be rewritten — with hope, healing, and purpose.
2. Victory Belongs to the Lord (Psalm 118:14–24)
“The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation.”
The cross looked like defeat, but Easter morning proved it was victory. Jesus didn’t just survive death — He conquered it. Whatever you are facing — fear, discouragement, rejection, sin — remember that Christ has already won. You are not fighting for victory; you are walking in it. Rejoice today because “this is the day the Lord has made.”
3. Good News for Everyone (Acts 10:34–43)
Peter reminds us that Jesus’ resurrection isn’t just good news for a few — it’s for everyone who believes. No matter your background, status, or struggles, you are included. The cross was wide enough to stretch across all divides — race, tribe, class, or nation. And because Jesus lives, forgiveness, freedom, and new life are available to you today.
4. He Knows Your Name (John 20:1–18)
Mary Magdalene was brokenhearted, confused, and grieving — until Jesus called her by name. At that moment, she realized He was alive. The same Jesus who rose from the dead knows your name. He sees your tears, your doubts, and your fears — and He is calling you into deeper relationship with Him. Easter is personal. The Risen Lord wants to walk with you, just like He walked with Mary.
Takeaway:
Easter is not just an event — it’s an invitation. An invitation to live with hope, walk in victory, share the Good News, and know Christ personally.
Practical Steps Today:
- Believe: Accept the finished work of Christ for your life. Let go of guilt and shame.
- Rejoice: Celebrate this day with joy, even in the midst of uncertainty.
- Share: Tell someone about what Jesus means to you.
- Live New: Start this week fresh, knowing that because He lives, you can face tomorrow.
Prayer:
Risen Lord, thank You for the cross and the empty tomb. Thank You for new life, new hope, and new beginnings. Help me to walk in the power of Your resurrection every day. Let my life reflect Your love and truth in this world. Amen.
