Scripture: John 10:22–30
Key Verse: “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” – John 10:27 (NIV)
Devotional Message:
Motherhood is a sacred calling that mirrors the divine relationship between Christ and His sheep. In John 10:22–30, Jesus describes Himself as the Good Shepherd—knowing His sheep intimately, protecting them securely, and nurturing them unconditionally. This image parallels the godly mother who bears the mark of divine nurture in her daily sacrifice, loving guidance, and unwavering protection of her children.
A mother’s voice is often the first a child learns to trust, echoing the spiritual truth that Jesus’ sheep know His voice and follow Him. Just as Christ assures that no one can snatch His sheep out of His hand, so too does a devoted mother create a space of spiritual security for her children—through prayer, teaching, and example.
Today, we honor mothers who walk closely with the Good Shepherd, raising their children to know His voice. Their nurturing spirit not only shapes families but also testifies of God’s care and everlasting love.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for mothers who reflect Your heart—who nurture, guide, and protect in love. May their lives continue to bear Your mark. Strengthen every mother today to walk in Your footsteps and lead others to Your voice. Amen.
