Fear Not—Your Ascension Is Near!

Scripture: Acts 18:9–10 (NIV)

“One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: ‘Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.’”

Devotional

After the Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ, the mantle of ministry fell squarely on the shoulders of His followers. The early church faced intense persecution, uncertainty, and fear. Paul, one of the boldest apostles, also encountered moments where fear threatened his mission. But in Acts 18:9–10, God steps in—not with a sword, but with a word.

“Do not be afraid.”
“Keep speaking.”
“I am with you.”
“No one will harm you.”

These aren’t just words to Paul—they’re words to you, today. Like Paul, you're called to influence your world. But opposition, rejection, financial difficulty, and internal fear can whisper, "Stay silent." God's response? “Fear not.”

Fear Not, Rise Up!

  1. Fear Not—You Have a Word to Speak
You carry an idea, a vision, a business, a calling, or a message—just like Paul. Don’t silence your voice because of intimidation. Your story matters.

  2. Fear Not—God Is With You
The Ascension was not the end—it was the beginning of Christ working through you. You are not alone. The One who rose into the heavens now lives in you. That’s power!

  3. Fear Not—You Will Not Be Harmed
God's promise to Paul was clear: “No one will attack and harm you.” While challenges may come, divine protection surrounds you. You are shielded by grace.

  4. Fear Not—There Are People Assigned to Help You
“I have many people in this city,” God told Paul. Likewise, God has divinely positioned people ready to support your purpose. You are not fighting alone.

Faith Declaration:

I am not afraid. I rise above fear and rejection. I will speak boldly. I am not alone—God is with me. I will ascend in purpose, in influence, in victory!

Prayer:

Lord, I thank You that You have not given me a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. Just as You encouraged Paul, speak courage into my heart. Let me rise above every fear and stand firm in Your calling for my life. May I ascend in purpose, in strength, in faith, and in every facet of my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
