It Shall Happen: Ascending in the Power of His Promise

Scripture Reading: Luke 1:39–49 (Focus: Luke 1:45 KJV)

“And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.”
— Luke 1:45 (KJV)

Devotional:

After the Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ, the disciples stood on the Mount of Olives, staring upward. The same Jesus who died and rose had now ascended—proving that divine promises are never empty. Before His departure, He said, “You shall receive power…” (Acts 1:8). And not many days later, the Holy Spirit came in power, performing just what was promised.

This same divine principle echoes in Mary’s encounter with Elizabeth in Luke 1:39–49. Mary, a young girl with no social status, believed the impossible—that a virgin could conceive. Her faith activated the performance of God’s Word in her life.

Elizabeth’s prophetic greeting and Mary’s spontaneous song of praise remind us that:

Faith ignites fulfillment.

Belief births breakthrough.

Worship attracts wonders.

Post-Ascension Application: "Ascending in Every Area of Your Life"

Just as Jesus ascended in glory, God is calling you to ascend— in your faith, in your career,in your finances,in your relationships, and in your divine purpose.

The God who performed His word in Mary’s womb and lifted Jesus into glory has not changed. If you believe, it shall happen. His promises over your life shall be performed in due season.

Challenge for the Day:

Dare to believe again. Reignite that vision, revisit that calling, and rebuild your expectation. Don’t just wait—worship while you wait. Because heaven’s timeline is still active, and your season of performance is near.

Declare this boldly:

“Because I believe, there shall be a performance. I shall ascend in every area of my life!”

Prayer:

Lord, just as You fulfilled Your word to Mary and ascended in glory, I believe You will perform every word spoken over my life. Let every delayed promise be activated. Raise me to new heights in faith, favor, and purpose. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
