Deliver Us, O Lord

Scripture: "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil..." — Matthew 6:13

We often pray for blessings, open doors, and breakthroughs. And rightly so. But Jesus taught us something powerful in Matthew 6:13 — to pray "deliver us from evil." That’s not just a prayer for safety. It’s a spiritual wake-up call.

This part of the Lord’s Prayer isn’t just about staying out of trouble. It’s about recognizing that we live in a world where evil is real, where temptation is cunning, and where the enemy lurks, often unseen. You may not always see the trap, but it doesn’t mean it’s not there.

Jesus knew what He was doing when He included this in His teaching. Evil isn’t always loud or dramatic. Sometimes it comes dressed in good intentions, silent compromises, or quiet distractions. But this verse reminds us that we serve a God who doesn’t just react — He prevents. He delivers before the fire gets too hot, before the trap closes in.

When we say, "Deliver us, O Lord," we’re asking God to intercept what was never meant to touch us. We’re crying out for divine intervention in places we don’t even know we need it.

In this season, there is a spiritual sensitivity rising across the world. God is not just responding to your cries — He is revealing the hidden plots of the enemy. He is assigning angelic hosts around you. But here’s the key: you must pray. This isn’t the time to be passive. It's time to speak over your life and territory.

Deliverance is not only from demons — it’s from delays, wrong relationships, sudden sickness, and silent battles. Lift your voice and call on the Deliverer.

1. Father, deliver me from every unseen trap set against my progress.
   Psalm 124:7 – “We have escaped like a bird out of the fowler’s snare…”

2. Lead me, Lord, away from temptation and destructive decisions.
   Proverbs 3:5–6 – “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

3. I declare no weapon formed against me shall succeed. Let every evil assignment be aborted.
   Isaiah 54:17

4. I stand in the gap for my family. Deliver us, O Lord, from generational traps and cycles.
   Jeremiah 1:10 – "To root out and to pull down..."

Call to Action:

Today, take time to pray beyond your needs. Ask God for divine protection and early warnings. Intercede for your home, your friends, and your generation. Evil may be present, but God’s deliverance is more powerful.
