He Sees You

Scripture:

“Jesus turned and saw her. ‘Take heart, daughter,’ he said, ‘your faith has healed you.’ And the woman was healed at that moment.”
— Matthew 9:22 (NIV)

Devotional:

Twelve years. That’s how long the woman had suffered. She lived in isolation, avoided by society, and probably burdened by shame. Her condition made her “unclean” by religious standards of the day, which meant no one could touch her—and no one likely wanted to. But this didn’t stop her. She believed that if she could just touch the hem of Jesus’ garment, she would be healed.

And when she reached out in faith, Jesus stopped.

He didn’t overlook her, even though He was on His way to perform another miracle. He didn’t shame her or push her aside. He turned toward her and called her “daughter.” He affirmed her identity, acknowledged her faith, and healed her completely—right in the middle of her mess.

This story reminds us that Jesus isn’t intimidated by your situation. Whether you feel unworthy, ashamed, or completely overlooked, He still sees you. You don’t have to be perfect to come to Him. He meets you right where you are with compassion, not condemnation.

So whatever you’re going through—whether it’s a long-standing issue, hidden pain, or a quiet desperation, reach out to Him. He is near, and He responds to faith, even in the mess.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for seeing me even when I feel invisible. Help me believe that no situation is too messy for You. Give me the courage to reach out in faith, knowing that You are near and ready to respond with love and healing. Amen.
