Good morning, beloved in Christ. Today, we live in a world that is constantly changing. Technology evolves, cultures shift, governments rise and fall, and even our personal lives experience seasons of change. It’s no wonder many feel uncertain and restless.

In Luke 21:33, Jesus offers a profound truth: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” This simple yet powerful statement reminds us that while everything around us may fade, God’s Word remains eternal. It is unchanging, reliable, and steadfast.

This morning, we will explore how God's Word provides us with:

1. The Temporal vs. the Eternal

Jesus contrasts the temporary nature of creation with the permanence of His Word. Heaven and earth, as vast and enduring as they may seem, will one day fade away. But His Word is eternal, unshakable, and everlasting.

Isaiah 40:8: "The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever."

Psalm 102:25-27: "They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment... but you remain the same."

We often build our lives on things that won’t last—wealth, status, and worldly achievements. But these are like sandcastles washed away by the tide. Are we anchoring our lives in what is temporary or in the eternal promises of God?

Psalm 119:105: "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."
