Remember Me, Lord" – A Cry for Divine Attention

Scripture: Psalm 106:4 (NIV) – “Remember me, Lord, when you show favor to your people, come to my aid when you save them.”

Devotional:

Life has a way of making us feel like one tiny face in a sea of many. The bills pile up, the job doesn’t call back, friends don’t check in, and the prayers feel like they bounce off the ceiling. You smile in public, cry in private, and wonder Did God forget about me?

Psalm 106:4 gives us a window into the heart of someone who probably felt the same. Right in the middle of a national confession, one lone voice whispers, “Remember me, Lord…” It’s not arrogance. It’s not entitlement. It’s simply a heart reaching out, hoping God hasn’t turned His face away.

And here’s the truth: God doesn’t forget.
He’s not like a distracted friend who means well but misses your call. He’s not like a teacher overwhelmed with too many students to notice your raised hand. He is God. Your God.

Even when it feels like the heavens are silent, He’s still writing your name in the palm of His hand (Isaiah 49:16). He knows your thoughts, your fears, your silent hopes. And when He moves in favor, like He did for His people in the days of old, you can trust, He sees you, too.

Asking God to “remember you” isn’t suggesting He’s forgotten. It’s saying, “Lord, I need to feel seen. I need to know You still have me in mind. I need You to intervene.” And God responds to such prayers with compassion, not condemnation.

Let’s be honest, life’s not a walk in the park. Sometimes it feels more like a marathon with no water breaks. But even in the long stretches of waiting, God walks beside us. He doesn’t clock out or take vacations. He’s present. Active. Aware.

So the next time you feel like the world is moving on without you, say this prayer from Psalm 106:4. Not as a last resort, but as a faith-filled reminder that God’s memory doesn’t fade and neither does His love for you.

Prayer:

Lord,
In the middle of all my worries, disappointments, and waiting seasons, I ask You to remember me.
Not because I’ve earned it, but because I need You.
When You bless others, don’t pass me by.
When You move in favor, move in my life too.
I believe You see me, love me, and will help me in Your perfect time.
Amen.

Encouragement:
If you ever feel like you’re just another face in the crowd, remember: even in a world of billions, God’s eyes are still on you. Like a shepherd who knows each sheep by name, He knows you. And He’s coming to your aid right on time.
